Journey to China

“I found tea meditation practice to be a profound mindfulness practice. This has been a very beautiful way of being together as Sangha. We enjoy the beauty of the tea set and table setting, the taste of the tea, learning to pay attention to what is right in front of us and let go of thoughts of the past. We enjoy being silent together as we drink, then later a Dharma discussion, learning as we do to pay attention to each detail in each moment, whether we are drinking, tasting, listening or speaking, moment by moment being still and present. Paying attention to our words as they come from our lips, and listening attentatively to the words of others. What a joy! I would never have imagined there was so much to learn in this simple tea meditation together. It has been a deeply meaningful way of being together as Sangha. It has been a very helpful way of practicing mindfulness together.” ~ Rev. D.
